Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the Searchlight mobile app and the service behind it ("Searchlight"). By using Searchlight you agree to them.
What Searchlight is
Searchlight is an independent client for the Google Search Console API. It displays data that Google holds about websites you have verified. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google. Google and Google Search Console are trademarks of Google LLC.
Your Google account
Using Searchlight requires connecting a Google account that has access to at least one verified Search Console property. You are responsible for having the right to view the data in the accounts you connect. You may revoke Searchlight's access at any time from your Google account, which immediately ends our ability to fetch data.
Subscriptions
- Searchlight is free to use with up to three tracked properties.
- Searchlight Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending.
- Manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID account settings. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms. We cannot issue refunds for purchases made through the App Store.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- access data belonging to accounts you are not authorised to view;
- attempt to circumvent plan limits, or to interfere with the service or its security;
- automate, scrape or resell access to Searchlight; or
- use Searchlight in breach of Google's own terms or API policies.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that do any of these.
Availability and accuracy
Searchlight depends on the Google Search Console API. Figures shown are those Google reports, and Google finalises search data on a delay of roughly two days. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, or that data will be complete, current or error-free. Do not rely on Searchlight as the sole basis for decisions with material consequences.
Disclaimer and liability
Searchlight is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to Searchlight is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date above will change, and material changes will be posted here before taking effect. Continuing to use Searchlight after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Termination
You may stop using Searchlight at any time and delete your account from Settings → Delete account. We may terminate or suspend access if these terms are breached.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, and you and we submit to the courts of that province, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
